DINNY SCULLY of Ballycumber won 22,000 Euros in last Saturday's National Lottery's Big Money Game Show on RTE. The five players on the night from Fermanagh, Dublin, Cork, Derry and Offaly won prizes to the value of 190,500 Euros.
Dinny Scully bought his ticket at Joseph Digan's Station Service Station, Athlone Road in Moate.
Dinny was born and bred in Ballycumber. He is a single man and works as a Bog supervisor for Bord na Mona.
He has worked in his local bog for the past 40 years and totally enjoys his outdoor healthy lifestyle. Especially at this time of the year he loves being out from early morning till night enjoying the sights and smells of the countryside.
He is a fan of country and western, Cajun music and our own Irish traditional music.
His parents are deceased. He has two brothers and one sister.
His brother Joe and family were on the Murphy's Micro Quiz-M Show and Dinny still has the video of that occasion after all these years.
Dinny does consider himself to be a lucky person. He has had five numbers in the Lotto on five occasions.
He has no plans for his winnings but he would like to go on a holiday. He has a fairly new car but he still wouldn't mind if he got a choice to get another model!
He thinks that his locality has been very lucky with the National Lottery shows and he is astounded with the amount of good will and support he received all week.
