Leinster Fleadh Success For Tuath na hEiscir Comhaltas thumbnailTuath na hEiscir Comhaltas celebrate their success at the Leinster Fleadh recently

THE Leinster Fleadh, held in Dunleer, Co. Louth on Sat/ Sun the 10th/11th July brought back many success to County Offaly and in particular to Tuath na hEiscir Comhaltas.
As Leinster is such a large province, competition was as always, very strong and congratulations go to those who represented Offaly, and special congratulations to those who won prizes and now go on to represent Offaly and Leinster in the All Ireland which will be held in Cavan town towards the end of August.
Special thanks go to the teachers and mentors who prepared the groups and solo preformers for their respective competitons displaying a wealth of creativity, experience and talent.
Teamwork seems to be to the fore in Tuath na hEiscir and this is represented by 1st place in Senior Ceili Bands, (mentor James Hogan), 1st place in U12 Ceili Bands (mentor Bernadette Mooney-Dunne), and 2nd Place in 15-18 Grupai Ceoil (mentor James Hogan).
Congratulations also to the Edenderry Senior Grupai Ceoil (mentor James Hogan) who took 2nd place in their competition. Below is a list of the winners from Tuath na hEiscir comhaltas and photographs of the senior band, u12 band and u18 grupai ceoil.
