HUNDREDS of excited Jedward fans turned up at the Bridge Centre last Wednesday morning to see their idols who were promoting their new album and signing autographs at Heartbeat City.
Some queued all night to be the first in line to meet the two stars. Most were teeny boppers who had become fans of the twins after seeing them on the X Factor.
One woman had queued from the night before just so her daughter could meet the tall haired ones.
Carol Scott and her daughter Moira aged 6, stayed out all night. 'I am shaking I am so tired', said Carol while little Moira insisted on going back to ask one of the Jedward twins how his leg was.
Meanwhile 10 year old Yan Tubielewicz from Poland said he was queuing because he loved their songs and their hair.
Chloe McLoughlin aged 9 said she loved them because they were funny and were good singers
Inside Heartbeat City, with hair pointing to the ceiling at a precarious angle, Jedward were busy signing autographs on CDs, T-shirts and even on faces.
Ray Quinn of Heartbeat City said he had never seen anything like it. 'There were 200 people here at 6 o'clock this morning and by seven it had swelled to around 1,000,' he said.
Unfortunately not all of the fans would get into Heartbeat City as Jedward could only be there for two and a half hours, but Ray Quinn and his team were doing their best to move as many fans through the meet and greet process as possible to allow more to get in.
Tiernan and Aoibhe Grennan joined the queue at 9.30 that morning. They knew there were not going to get inside because they didn't have a ticket, but they seemed happy just to be there with Tiernan saying he was going to let his hair grow and style it the same as Jedward.
