THE Draw Committee of Tullamore Community Arts Centre say they are delighted with the success of their major fundraising campaign.
Between seventeen hundred and eighteen hundred tickets have been sold to date and the Draw Committee would like to thank most sincerely the Tullamore people and the Community at large for their marvellous support,
Draw Chairman Paddy Fenning stated that 'in these most recessionary of times this has been a phenomenal achievement and it shows what Tullamore and the surrounding Community are made of.'
'Of course this is not the first time the people of Tullamore stood up to the mark.
The Tullamore Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre is a perfect example of this.
By way of supporting this project the community has clearly stated an Arts Centre for the town is an essential part of its development,' he added.
The committee need to sell 2000 tickets to get the maximum return from this project. This they say will all fall into place in the New Year. The community were promised that when all 2000 tickets are sold the general public will have played their part in the fundraising campaign.
The rules also state that in the event of the draw being undersubscribed the draw may be deferred for a short period of time to complete ticket sales. In that regard the Tullamore Community Arts Centre Draw will take place in early 2012. Also logistically with so many tickets and payments arriving at this late stage the committee say it would have been impossible to meet the draw deadline with the amount of clerical work involved.
The draw committee would like to thank again all who purchased tickets in the major members draw. Also many thanks to the group leaders and team members who made this project happen and finally the draw committee would like to wish one and all a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas.
