High Number Of Patients On Trolleys At Tullamore Hospital

A PARTICULARLY busy week has been blamed for the high number of patients lying on trolleys at three of the Midlands Hospitals
Yesterday Tuesday February 21st there was a total of 34 patients on trolleys in the three hospitals of Tullamore, Portlaoise and Mullingar.
Mullingar hospital had the highest number with 15 followed by Tullamore with 11 waiting for beds while there were 8 in Portlaoise.
A statement from the HSE said: 'This has been a particularly busy week for Midland hospitals. The situation is being managed on a daily basis.'
There were 10 people on trolleys in Tullamore on Monday of this week.
