Midlands enter two Under 12 teams in SFAI interleague championship

THE Midlands Schoolboys League is entering two Under 12 teams in the SFAI interleague championship this season.

The teams began their preparations for the championship with friendly matches against the Longford Schoolboys League in Clara on bank holiday Monday.

Each Midlands squad played two matches and the development squad won both its games while the other team won one clash and drew the other.

The first Midlands team has been drawn in Group 3 of the championship and is scheduled to be at home to the South Dublin League on the weekend of November 25/26, away to the Kilkenny League on the weekend of December 9/10, at home to Wexford B on January 12/13 and away to the Wicklow League on February 2/3.

The other Midlands team will be at home to DDSL on December 9/10, away to Drogheda on January 12/13 and away to Wexford on February 2/3.

In the Under 13 championship the Midlands team will be at home to Wexford on December 9/10, away to the DDSL on January 12/13, at home to Drogheda on February 2/3 and away to Carlow on March 3/4.

The Midlands Under 15s began their campaign with a 9-1 win over Wicklow and are next scheduled to play the North Dublin League in Dublin on November 25/26, before playing Wicklow away on December 9/10 and then hosting North Dublin on January 13/14.
