The President of the Midland Solicitors Bar Association, Anne Marie Kelleher hosted The Midland Solicitors Bar Association Dinner on Friday night, 9th November at the Tullamore Court Hotel.

Members of the Bar Association, being the Solicitors of Offaly and Westmeath, attended along with their colleagues from the Bar Council and the Judiciary of Westmeath and Offaly.

An enjoyable evening was had by all, and four distinguished Solicitors from the Midlands were honoured at the event: Tom Enright and Jim Houlihan from Birr and Tom Farrell and John Hughes from Tullamore.

Tom Enright was admitted to the roll of Solicitors in 1965 and Jim Houlihan in 1968. Having just recently retired their colleagues were eager to recognise their many years of service within the Solicitors Profession.

Tom Farrell was also admitted to the roll of Solicitors in 1968 and continues to attend at his office every day with no plans to change this. John Hughes the former State Solicitor for Offaly has just been appointed District Court Judge.

Presentations were made to all four esteemed colleagues by Anne Marie Kelleher on behalf of their fellow colleagues of the Midland Solicitors Bar Association and in recognition of their individual achievements.
