SHS entries wow 'Junk Kouture' judges

Following on from the success of last year’s Junk Kouture competition the TY students of the Sacred Heart School pulled out all the stops to wow the judges this year.

An astonishing five creations from the Sacred Heart School were handpicked to represent their school at the Western regional finals in Castlebar.

Pupils at the Sacred Heart under the guidance of their teachers Clodagh Hogan, Siobhan McCormack and Luke Corley have turned throwaway items into the height of fashion.

One creation was successful in making it through to the National Finals, ‘2B or not 2B’ creatively re worked a breath-taking amount of disused pencils and pencil shavings to put together their brilliant design.

The designers Rose, Niamh and Aoife will be seeking Grand Final votes, to help them towards a win. The voting is open from the 1st of April to the 5th, and votes will make up 10% of the final mark.
