The Awards Night for the Tullamore St. Patrick’s Day Parade took place on Friday night in Hugh Lynch’s Function Room. The event reflected another great Parade as the many category winners received their awards and there were also a number of special presentations.
Sean O’ Brien, Parade Secretary, was MC for the night and he welcomed the recipients and special guests. “The Parade is a community event and it gives all organisations, groups, sports clubs, schools and businesses the opportunity to celebrate and proudly promote their organisation. It is a great opportunity for young people to proudly march through their town and to be proud of their club, school or organisation. It is also an artistic event which allows people the opportunity to express themselves through humour, music, dance and colour while also expressing a message.” stated Sean O’ Brien.
He thanked the hard working Committee, John O’ Toole, President; Johnny O’ Connor; Martin O’ Connor, Sean O’ Brien; Ciara Kinnarney; John Plunkett; Mick Plunkett; John McKeigue; Frankie O’ Reilly; Enda Mollen and Yvonne Kerry. Michael McGrath, Photographer for his services on the night.
