As a local, member owned organisation, Tullamore Credit Union Ltd has a strong commitment to supporting organisations and initiatives that benefit the local community.
Since its foundation, this has been evidenced, not only by the credit unions willingness to provide loan funding to such groups, but also by providing donations to a wide range of organisations, charities, and sports groups to help fund their activities.
This year’s Community Support Fund presentation night took place in the Tullamore Court Hotel on Wednesday, 3rd April. On the night Chairperson Fra Mollen stated that this year the fund was presenting 76 awards totalling €50,000! All applicants must be within the common bond of Tullamore Credit Union Ltd – ensuring that all funds are returned for the betterment of local people.
Board Secretary Eileen Brophy acted as MC for the event, also in attendance were representatives from Offaly County Council, Tullamore Municipal Council, Tullamore & District Chamber of Commerce, Tullamore Tidy Towns and special guest speaker, Caren Carruthers, from Geashill Tidy Towns.
The awards night also saw the launch of the very popular Tidy Tullamore competition – entry forms are available in the office and through the website www.tullamorecu.ie, closing date is 17th May 2019.

Member Services Development Manager Caroline Collins outlined 2 new lending products recently launched by the credit union, the first is called E-Home, designed for members wishing to purchase an alternative eco-friendly home; the second is designed for Community Groups - further details and terms & conditions are available in the office.
